Capital Markets Advisory Managing Director Rich Thomas Appears on Bloomberg TV

On January 25, Capital Markets Advisory Managing Director Rich Thomas appeared on Bloomberg TV’s “Wall Street Beat” to discuss the increase of non-traditional shareholder activists launching first-time campaigns and the implications for companies.

“The players are changing, and the playbook is changing as well,” said Rich to host Sonali Basak. “The kinds of things that we would think of as traditional activist tactics, they’re being adopted for slightly different purposes increasingly. We’re seeing more of a connection for activists, the campaigns they’re driving [the transaction-related campaigns] and how private equity and other potential acquirors are integrating with them.”
