The Lazard New Visions Academy is a signature initiative of the Lazard Foundation. The program provides New York City public high school students from under-resourced and historically marginalized communities with the opportunity gain vital knowledge, experience and relationships to set them on a path toward future professional careers.

The Academy is run in partnership with New Visions for Public Schools and is one of the initiatives through which Lazard supports our community in New York City. Over the two-year program, students are provided access to post-secondary readiness opportunities, financial literacy skills and professional capital.

The Summer Institute relies upon the participation of Lazard volunteers. Our volunteers engage with students across a number of career development activities, including teaching them about Lazard and the specific roles of individual volunteers, what they do and their career paths so far. Students also practice professional networking and undertake a capstone group project in which they learn about M&A and work toward making a final presentation on the M&A market.

During the Summer Institutes held in 2021 and 2022, the New Visions Academy helped close to 600 New York City public high school students to learn professional development skills to advance their career aspirations. Our direct engagement with the students has had a meaningful impact in the development of their professional skills for a broad range of career paths.
