Jerry Wiant joins Lazard as Managing Director
NEW YORK, August 14, 2017 – Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) announced today that Jerry Wiant has joined the firm as a Managing Director in Financial Advisory, enhancing coverage of depository institutions.
Based in New York, he will work closely with Gary Howe, head of Lazard’s Financial Institutions Group, North America. Mr. Wiant was previously Co-Head of the RBC Capital Markets U.S. Financial Institutions Group.
“Jerry is a trusted advisor to CEOs and directors, with more than two decades of experience in M&A and other strategic transactions for financial institutions,” said Matt Lustig, head of North American Investment Banking at Lazard. “He will be a tremendous addition to our FIG team in North America and globally."
Mr. Wiant was a Managing Director and Co-Head of the RBC Capital Markets U.S. Financial Institution Group since 2009. Previously, he served 12 years collectively in Financial Institutions Groups at Citigroup and Lehman Brothers. He began his professional career in 1989 as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche.
