Addar Levi
Deputy General Counsel


Addar Levi is Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Regulatory Affairs at Lazard.
Prior to joining Lazard, Ms. Levi served as the Treasury Department’s Acting General Counsel, leading the 2,000+ attorneys of the Treasury Legal Division and counseling the Treasury Secretary and other senior officials on banking regulatory and enforcement issues, international economic affairs, investment security, sanctions, AML and terrorism finance, and tax policy. She is a recipient of the Alexander Hamilton Award, the Treasury Department’s highest honor.
Previously, Ms. Levi was General Counsel of President Obama's family office and foundation, serving as a member of the Executive Management Committee and overseeing all legal and compliance functions. Earlier in her career, she served in the White House Counsel's office and was a litigator in the Washington, D.C. office of Covington & Burling.
Ms. Levi is a member of the American Law Institute, and a non resident senior fellow at Columbia Law School.
Addar holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
