Managing Director
Bennett Monson is a Managing Director and Head of Industrial Software at Lazard.
Ben has over 25 years of investment banking experience advising private equity, corporate, and founder clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Ben joined Lazard in 2019, and since that time the Firm has closed over $25bn of Industrial Software M&A.
Lazard's Industrial Software franchise is focused on the confluence of digitization, software innovation, and AI in industrial verticals. The team has extensive experience in process, energy, and manufacturing verticals, executing transactions across a range of application categories including simulation, data analytics, engineering/design, controls, operations, asset management, and field service management.
Prior to joining Lazard, Ben led the industrial technology practice at Wells Fargo Securities and held positions at Evercore, Piper Sandler, and Raymond James.
Ben holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, where he was the MacFarlane Scholar, and a BSFS from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
