John Buchanan
Managing Director
John Buchanan joined Lazard in 2013 and is a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer in the Capital Markets Advisory group. He works on a variety of financing, capital markets, capital structure, infrastructure financing and ratings advisory assignments for clients throughout the firm.
Prior to joining Lazard, John spent three years as a Vice President and Associate in the Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring Group at Credit Suisse. While there he was responsible for structuring and executing high yield and leveraged loan financing transactions and capital commitments across various industries, focusing on the Consumer and Retail, Financial Institutions and Healthcare sectors.
Prior to Credit Suisse, John worked in the Leveraged Finance group at Citigroup, and at the fixed income asset manager Fischer, Francis, Trees and Watts.
The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, MBA in Finance and Management; School of Arts & Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania, BA in American History.
