Lauren Ortner
Director
Lauren Ortner is a Director in the Capital Markets Advisory group. She joined Lazard in 2019 and is based in New York.
In this role, she advises clients on matters related to strategic shareholder engagement, activism preparedness and broader equity capital markets considerations.
Prior to joining Lazard, Lauren was a Vice President in the Credit Suisse Equity Sales group where she led coverage for many of the firm's long only and hedge fund clients, distributing differentiated equity research, cross-selling the firm’s equity products and collaborating with the Equity Capital Markets group in the marketing of primary and secondary transactions. In that role, she cultivated a deep network across public market investors and a thorough understanding of the equity market ecosystem.
Lauren graduated with honors from Boston College with a B.A in Economics.
