Natacha Valla

Natacha Valla, an economist and current Dean of the School of Management and Impact at Sciences Po Paris, serves as a Senior Advisor to Lazard Financial Advisory in Paris since 2021. With her extensive knowledge in areas such as new forms of money, central bank balance sheet management, and climate finance, Natacha provides valuable insights to Lazard's Sovereign Advisory team.

Beginning her career as an economist at the European Central Bank (ECB) in 2001, Natacha later joined Goldman Sachs in 2008 as an international research economist. In 2014, she took on the role of Deputy Director at the Centre d'études prospectives et d'informations internationales (CEPII). She then became the Head of Policy and Strategy Division at the European Investment Bank in 2015, serving until 2018. Concurrently, she was appointed as a permanent member of the Conseil d'Analyse Economique and an independent board member for AccorHotels, LVMH, and Tikehau Capital groups from 2016 to 2018. Natacha returned to the ECB in 2018 as Deputy General Manager for Monetary Policy under Mario Draghi's chairmanship. In 2020, she assumed her current position as Dean of the School of Management and Impact at Sciences Po Paris. She is also the President of France’s National Productivity Board, and serves as independent board member for LVMH, SCOR and ASF/Cofiroute.

A respected educator and author, Natacha Valla publishes books and articles focusing on international macroeconomics, finance, monetary issues, and financial innovation. As a regular contributor to public debate, she continues to share her expertise and engage in thought-provoking discussions.
