Pablo Hernandez Schmidt-Tophoff joined Lazard's North American Energy Group in 2012 and is currently the Head of the Houston Office and a Managing Director in the Power, Energy, and Infrastructure group.
Since joining Lazard in 2012, Pablo has worked on numerous domestic and cross-border M&A, capital structure advisory, restructuring, capital raising, board advisory and other shareholder and strategic advisory assignments across Energy and Energy Transition.
Prior to joining Lazard as an Associate, Pablo worked as an Associate Director at UBS AG in Panama City, Panama as part of the LatAm Group. During his three years at UBS AG, he managed a book of private clients with $80-$100mm in AUM covering Colombia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.
Outside of Lazard, Pablo is actively involved in the Houston philanthropic and arts communities and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Symphony, as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Inprint, a Houston-based organization focused on promoting the literary arts, as member of the Steering Committee for the Contemporaries at The Menil Collection, and as a member of the Steering Committee at the Lazard Foundation.
Pablo and his wife, Randi, have four children, Frances, Winn, Clarence, and Birdie.
