Shannon Houston joined Lazard in October 2023 as Managing Director, Global Head of Communications and Marketing.

Shannon previously worked at First Republic from 2010 to 2023. Most recently, she served as its Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer from 2018 to 2023, where she was a member of its executive operating committee and the transition leadership team supporting the firm’s post-acquisition integration into JPMorgan Chase. Prior roles included Head of Investor Relations and Executive Communications.

With over 15 years in private banking and wealth management, Shannon has broad experience as a trusted advisor to board directors and senior executives through critical company phases, including strategic realignment, leadership succession, and evolving regulatory oversight. She has been recognized as part of Institutional Investor Magazine’s All-America Executive Team: Best Investor Relations Professional and Best Investor Relations Program. She also received the 2023 Red Dot Award for Brand and Communication Design for her team's work in evolving the First Republic brand.

Shannon is a graduate from Harvard Business School’s General Management Program, and she holds a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma City University. She is a Board member of GALLIM Dance in New York and Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco, and a member of the Lincoln Center Leadership Fellows program.
