Thomas Lambert
Managing Director
Thomas Lambert has been a Managing Director of Lazard, Sovereign Advisory Group, since 2017. He joined the firm in 2011.
Thomas has advised sovereign clients in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the euro area, with a strong focus on sovereign debt restructuring & management, sovereign rating, macroeconomic policy advisory, and advisory to state-owned enterprises.
Before joining Lazard, Thomas started his career within the French Treasury where he held the position of deputy general secretary of the Paris Club of sovereign creditors. He was head of the financial markets regulation team, financial attaché at the French representation to the EU, and deputy head of the cabinet of the French Minister for Europe.
Thomas graduated from the French school of public administration (ENA), the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS, Ulm) and he holds of MA from the Paris Institute of political sciences (SciencesPo) and one from the Université Paris I Sorbonne (in Economics).
