How did you come to join Lazard?

I joined Lazard right after graduating from college as a first-year analyst. During my application process I was reading a book called “Sonho Grande,” which mentioned how Lazard helped architect the deal between Ambev and Interbrew. I remember thinking how amazing it would be if I could have a chance to work with such incredible people. Needless to say, I was super excited when I finally got the call to join my team!

What is the most exciting and rewarding part of your job?

How dynamic my day-to-day is. I’m involved in different types of transactions and segments in parallel, which means I’m always being challenged and learning something new. Also, it’s exciting to be around so many people I admire and look up to. There is always an opportunity to learn new ways of thinking or how to approach a situation.

What advice would you share with someone considering a career at Lazard?

Be curious. You will have the opportunity to see so much, sometimes in short periods of time. Do not be afraid to ask questions and soak in as much as possible - that will make all the difference in your development.

What is unique about Lazard?

Our culture makes all the difference in our day-to-day. The team is very collaborative and open. People are always helping and teaching one another, making the work much lighter and fun, which is important given how challenging our work can be sometimes.
