Abdourahmane Cissé joins Lazard as Senior Advisor in its Sovereign Advisory practice

PARIS, February 27, 2025 – Lazard, Inc. (NYSE: LAZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Abdourahmane Cissé as Senior Advisor in its Sovereign Advisory practice. With nearly two decades of experience at the highest level in finance and public policy, Mr. Cissé will support Lazard's work in Africa and the rest of the world.

Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Cissé held prominent roles in Côte d’Ivoire, including Minister of Budget and State-Owned Enterprises (2013–2017), Minister of Oil, Energy & Renewable Energy (2018–2021), and Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency (2021–2023). His efforts were instrumental in implementing substantial economic reforms and contributing to the country's growth strategy. Additionally, he served on the Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) from 2015 to 2022, promoting regional integration and financial market development. Mr. Cissé began his career at Goldman Sachs in London in 2005.

A recognized leader, Mr. Cissé was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2017. He holds an Engineering Degree from École Polytechnique (X2001) and a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics & Management from IFP School in Paris.
