James Jacobs is a Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate within the Private Capital Advisory team.

James joined Lazard in 2008 to help establish the real estate fundraising practice within PCA. He focuses on advising real estate General Partners, Fund Managers and Investment Professionals on structuring and raising capital to fund their investment activities.

Since joining Lazard, James has been involved in aggregating in excess of $35bn of equity on a primary basis for over 60 real estate funds as well as having advised on over $10bn of secondary transactions.

Prior to joining Lazard, James spent over 5 years at DTZ Corporate Finance, a real estate investment banking team, where he was a Director specialising in fund raising for private real estate vehicle. Between 1999-2002, James was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in London.
