Sam Whittaker
Managing Director
Sam Whittaker is a Managing Director and Co-head of Europe Restructuring and Liability Management, based in London.
Sam re-joined Lazard in November 2020 from PJT Partners, where he worked as a Managing Director since 2015. He initially joined Lazard in 2005.
Sam has almost 20 years of complex corporate finance and debt restructuring experience. He has advised on matters across multiple sectors and geographies acting for both debtors and creditors.
Prior to joining Lazard in 2005, Sam ran the Office of the CEO of London’s 2012 Olympic Bid, having previously worked as a policy adviser in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit in the UK Cabinet Office.
He holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, France; and an MA/BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
