Mr. Kurtz joined Lazard in 2002 and is a Senior Advisor. Previously Mr. Kurtz was a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Restructuring Group and in 2012 was appointed Vice Chairman of US Investment Banking and Global Head of Restructuring & Liability Management.

Prior to Lazard, Mr. Kurtz was a senior partner from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

David has over 40 years of restructuring experience and is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and reorganization related topics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy (and former member of the Board of Directors) and was named as the Bankruptcy Dealmaker of the Year 2001 by the American Lawyer magazine. David holds FINRA Series 24, Series 7 and Series 79 licenses.
